A UK IPTV subscription is a service commitment, not just a number on a pricing card. The best comparison begins with your household's viewing needs and ends with written terms you understand. This checklist helps you compare offers without treating a channel count or a discount badge as proof of quality.

Start with the viewing you actually need

Write down the programmes, languages or sports you expect to watch, the devices you own and the number of people who might watch at once. Ask a provider to confirm those details specifically. “All devices” is less useful than confirmation that your television model, operating system and chosen player are supported.

Distinguish a list of available channels from permission to distribute them. For premium sports and pay-per-view, request clear information on rights and access. A subscription to a player application does not by itself include licensed programmes.

Compare the complete price

Check the currency, duration and whether the displayed amount is a one-off term price or a recurring charge. Ask about payment-processing charges, app licence costs and additional-device fees. A lower headline price is not necessarily a lower total cost.

The iTelevo pricing page displays four terms in pounds sterling. Its buttons open a WhatsApp inquiry; the website itself does not collect payment. Confirm the final terms in writing before agreeing to a purchase elsewhere.

Read renewal and refund conditions separately

“No contracts” should not be interpreted as “no terms”. Every transaction still has conditions. Ask whether renewal is automatic, how cancellation works and what happens at the end of the term.

A money-back guarantee needs more than a badge. Check when its period starts, which purchases qualify, how to submit a request, what evidence is required and how refunds are returned. Keep a copy of the policy that applied when you purchased.

Test support before you need it

Send a specific compatibility question. Look for a clear response rather than a generic promise. Ask which support channel is monitored, what hours apply and how an outage is reported. Support availability and resolution time are different things; around-the-clock contact does not guarantee an immediate fix.

Keep a useful purchase record

Before paying, save:

  1. The provider's identity and contact method.
  2. The plan, duration and total agreed price.
  3. Device and simultaneous-stream limits.
  4. Content and quality confirmation.
  5. Refund and cancellation terms.
  6. Payment confirmation and subsequent support messages.

Check Citizens Advice's consumer guidance if you need help understanding a service purchase. For licensing, use the official TV Licensing information.
